ENGSO LOGO Poem
An azure bridge and a yellow star          There are those who might ask, why they are          The ENGSO logo, and what they mean          The answer's our aims, our hopes, our dream                    The bridge it will help span many a gap          People may cross without fear or mishap          It will link all the nations from every place          No matter the colour, the gender or race                    A star is a symbol, it shines in the sky          It's something to aim for no matter how high          From beginners to veterans there's always a place          For all who take part and join in the race                    At the ENGSO Assemblies we are but a few          Of the many millions, who want us to do          Our best representing their wishes and dreams          for the future of sport and all that it means                    So welcome dear friends both the old and the new          Your commitment ot ENGSO will see us get through          Our tasks, which are many with objectives so high          But our bridge it will help reach that star in the sky.

ENGSO EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Modifications of ENGSO Statutes

RATIONALE

ENGSO is a European Non-Governmental Sports Organization recognized by the IOC. However, the fact being that until now, the seat has not been in a European Union member country, ENGSO had no chance to apply for any of the European programmes, projects or support of any kind within the domains we are involved in.

At the initiative of the ENGSO Youth, ExCom made the decision to react accordingly and bring on changes, undertaking all necessary measures to register ENGSO in one of the EU member countries. Having analyzed all possibilities and necessary procedures to register ENGSO within the Sports Confederation of Austria (BSO), and the Olympic and Sport Committee of France (CNOSF), Members of ExCom and decided to do it in Paris, due to many facilitating circumstances.

Upon the consent of the President of CNOSF to have ENGSO registered within this organization, ENGSO ExCom took steps to legally realize this objective. With expertise of the legal advisor of CNOSF, in order to comply strictly with the French Law, certain modifications of the Statutes were necessary to be made (enclosed).

At the meeting of the ENGSO ExCom held in Malta, January 21-22, 2006, it was decided that the modifications of the ENGSO Statutes be sent to the ExCom members for consideration and adoption at the Extraordinary General Assembly that will take place prior to the 14th General Assembly in Malta 2006, in accordance with the new requirements for registration of ENGSO within CNOSF.

Enclosed you will find not only the modifications that ENGSO ExCom has adopted following the instructions for registration, but also the amended Statutes as they should be reworded with modifications in bold letters

We are grateful for your contribution in this significant mission we have before us.

Thank you!
