ENGSO LOGO Poem
An azure bridge and a yellow star          There are those who might ask, why they are          The ENGSO logo, and what they mean          The answer's our aims, our hopes, our dream                    The bridge it will help span many a gap          People may cross without fear or mishap          It will link all the nations from every place          No matter the colour, the gender or race                    A star is a symbol, it shines in the sky          It's something to aim for no matter how high          From beginners to veterans there's always a place          For all who take part and join in the race                    At the ENGSO Assemblies we are but a few          Of the many millions, who want us to do          Our best representing their wishes and dreams          for the future of sport and all that it means                    So welcome dear friends both the old and the new          Your commitment ot ENGSO will see us get through          Our tasks, which are many with objectives so high          But our bridge it will help reach that star in the sky.

ENGSO 14th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

May 5 - 7, 2006, Malta

2nd CALLING NOTICE

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of ENGSO, we have the pleasure to repeat our invitation to our 14th General Assembly, which will take place in St. Paul’s Bay, Malta, May 5 – 7, 2006, hosted by our member, Malta Olympic Committee.

As we explained in our 1st Calling Notice, this GA is of great importance for ENGSO, the sport movement and our members, as there is an indeed very significant issue to be resolved – the registration of ENGSO in House of Olympic Sports of Comité national olympique et sportif français, in Paris, France. Therefore, we are hereby convening the Extraordinary Assembly as the only body entitled to make such decisions according to the ENGSO Statutes, before the Ordinary 14th General Assembly, for which explanation you will find in the materials enclosed.

Following decisions of the ENGSO ExCom, the Extraordinary and the Ordinary General Assembly shall be held according to the programme enclosed.

We would like to remind you that this General Assembly will deliberate many very important topics, first of all, the development issues of ENGSO, decisive for ENGSO and its future work. The final results of the ENGSO Development Group (EDG) are to be presented at the next General Assembly 2007 for implementation.

Following the programme enclosed, a midday session of an EU Pre-Seminar will be held on Friday morning, May 5, from 9:30h until 15:00h, after which the Opening of the General Assembly would follow at 16:00h. After the Opening Ceremony, an Extraordinary General Assembly should take place with the aim to adopt the modifications of the Statutes and accept the seat of the ENGSO to be redefined and set for CNOSF in Paris, as mentioned above (see enclosed). Thereafter, the ordinary GA should start and go on until about 18:30h the same day.

The whole of Saturday would be dedicated to General Assembly topics. Sunday morning would be left as a reserve for further GA and thereafter for departures, or some visits, when and if arranged by the Organizer.

So, apart from the only item on the Agenda of the Extraordinary General Assembly, being Registration of ENGSO in CNOSF, other main topics to be discussed at the ordinary General Assembly are those following our Statutes as you will find in the material.

We do expect all our members to be very active by sending their delegates of both genders and giving their contribution in the decision making process of ENGSO.

You will find also all information regarding the accommodation in this material, and we kindly ask you to fill the individual registration form requesting all your needs, and send it both to the Organizer - the Malta Olympic Committee and to the ENGSO Secretariat before April 15, 2006.

Allow us to reiterate the significance of attendance of all member countries in this edition of both Extraordinary and Ordinary General Assembly, and their active participation and contribution regarding the topics that will have direct impact on the future of ENGSO.

Looking forward to receiving registration form confirming your participation, as well as your propositions and recommendations in relation to the General Assembly in Malta before April 15, 2006.

We thank you in advance for your attention.

With best regards,
